Over The Top Christmas Lights is a place to find out about Christmas lights and shows shown on the property of the largest Mysore Fig Tree in the USA. Using the tabs at the top you can; get day to day information on the light show set up from the "Blog" tab, get information on how it all comes together from the "Behind the Scenes" tab, see pictures and videos of the slideshows and sequenced shows from the "Pictures & Videos" tab, find maps and directions from the "Visit Us" tab, and find a lot of information from other sites from the "Christmas Lights Sites" tab.

The 2017 show has been designed and will be put together including syncronizing the music over the summer. There will be four different shows during the hour, one each 15 minutes. This group of shows will then repeat each hour from 6:00 pm till 10:00 pm from December 1st till December 31st. Then starting January 1st there will be a new group of shows the same way but with non-Christmas music. These shows will run from January 1st till January 13th. Each night from December 1st till January 13th from 5:30 pm till 6:00 pm there will be testing and additional songs being played.

I will be using Light-O-Rama (LOR) to accomplish the goal of syncronizing the lights and music. The LOR system uses a combination of computer programs, controllers, and other items to make the lights "dance" to the beat. Feel free to contact me if interested in learning more of what to do to make a show. Just a warning, this hobby is very addictive and can become very expensive very fast.

Totals of my show can be found here and the specifics of my show can be found here but generally there will be 43+ controllers with over 688 channels used to light over 125,000 lights. I have programmed over 40 different songs and clips for the two one hour shows. Each song took between 10 and 15 hours per minute to sequence. I have a total of about 700 hours of work in the sequencing of the songs. I will use almost four miles of extension cords and an uncounted number of miles of wire in total.

You can read how the different items are made on the "Behind the Scenes" page.
